The Body Project

a raw photo project

Your body is not an apology,

it’s a celebration of every step, struggle,

and triumph that makes you

beautifully and uniquely you.

The Body Project is a skin-forward, painterly photographic experience where your body becomes the canvas and your presence the brushstroke.

This isn’t about performance or perfection. It’s about claiming space in your own skin, letting light and shadow reveal your natural form, and capturing the quiet power that already lives beneath the surface.

There’s no requirement for heavy makeup or polished posing — just you, guided gently, exactly as you are in this moment.

Some arrive bare-faced. Others love a little softness and polish. Both are welcome here.

This project is about coming home to yourself.

“I have struggled with having

confidence in my own skin

and it’s something that

I’m always working on!”

“I want each image to really mean

something, reveal something,

or celebrate something

about us as individuals to

create meaningful and beautiful images.”

WHY DID THIS PROJECT?

My mission is to help you see and celebrate the body that carries you through life. Every scar, every stretch mark, every curve is a testament to your story, your strength, and your journey.

This session is designed to strip away the self-doubt, excuses, and expectations we often place on ourselves. It’s about embracing who you are, right now, with all the beauty that lies in your unique shape, age, and size.

No retouching, just the real you—because you are enough exactly as you are.

I want to capture the authentic version of you that is worthy of being celebrated. This is more than just a photoshoot—it’s a chance to rediscover your body as a work of art.

You deserve to feel beautiful in your own skin.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN

YOU ARRIVE FOR YOUR SESSION

Connect + Settle In

We begin slowly. We talk, breathe, stretch, and let the nervous system soften. This is not about performing for the camera — it’s about being present in your body. We’ll set intentions and get you grounded before we ever take a photograph.

Partial Coverage

We start with gentle, partially covered moments. A soft robe, sheet, or draped fabric becomes part of the story.

I’ll guide you with subtle direction, focusing on details — collarbones, shoulders, hands, back, face in light and shadow — watching how light moves across your skin like paint on canvas.

Nothing is rushed. Everything is intentional.

Skin as Canvas

If it feels right, we slowly progress into more revealing imagery (this can be nude or minimally clothed — always at your comfort level).

Here, light and shadow become the brush.
Abstract shapes. Soft lines. Curves. Contrast. Stillness.

This is where the body becomes art rather than something to judge.

You’re always in control of how far we go.

Expression + Emotion

This part becomes intuitive — lying down, curled in, stretching out, breathing into quiet presence.

Sometimes it’s strong.
Sometimes it’s soft.
Sometimes it’s still.

We let the body speak instead of forcing a pose.

Cool Down

We finish with wrapped, grounded moments — seated, cocooned, calm.

Investment

The Body Project Experience is $450 and includes:

  • A 25–30 minute guided session

  • One finished, signature portrait

  • Professional retouching in my bodyscape style

  • Image reveal + ordering appointment

  • $150 print credit toward artwork

Additional portraits and heirloom pieces are available if you fall in love with more than one image.

Most clients invest between $650–$1,200 when adding extra portraits or artwork for their space.

Makeup + Skin Polish (Optional)

The Body Project is designed to be skin-forward and natural. There’s absolutely no need for full glam.

However, if you’d love a little softness and polish, you may add:

Skin-Forward Makeup + Hair Refresh — $125

This includes luminous skin prep, gentle enhancement, and natural hair movement — designed to look like you, just rested and softly refined.

Makeup is always optional.
Presence is always the priority.

A Gentle Reminder

This isn’t about changing your body.
It’s about witnessing it.

If you’ve been waiting for the “right” time — thinner, stronger, calmer, braver — this project quietly reminds you that the right time is often now.

“We are all the super model in our own life.

I’m excited to look back on

times like this when

my body was

more able. This is a

way to memorialize today.”

“I’ve been having a hard time

learning to love my postpartum body,

but I’m working really hard

on acceptance and appreciation

for everything it has done”

“I've been wanting to do a boudoir

shoot but am not feeling 100%

"sexy" enough. I love the

i/dea of the Body Project and as a mother

of a 22 year old daughter,

I want to be able to practice

what I preach in feeling confident

in your body and the story it has told.”

“I love the idea of just celebrating

being normal. I think that message

is so important.

Also, personally, I don’t have a

lot of self-confidence and I

think this could help me

appreciate myself as I am.

Plus, I’ve always wanted to do boudoir :)”

“Just want to get out of my comfort zone

and embrace my femininity”
