The impact of portraits

Let’s talk about three elements of portraits. I call it F.B.I. (not the one you are thinking of). It stands for Feature, Benefit, and Impact. What does that mean? Let’s break it down.

Feature

That is my photography service to the community and to my clients. That is what I do. I make sure that my craft is good with knowledge built over the years about lighting, composition and posing etc.

Benefit

The benefit of working with me is that every session is different and uniquely designed for you, my client. We have consultations beforehand to make sure I know your expectation and we are on the same page on how to show up and be prepared on the day of your session. Everything is designed and planned according to these meetings. I always say 90% of the work is done before a button is even pushed on set.

and lastly, Impact

In my opinion, probably the most important part. This is the reason why you should get images done by a professional.

Portraits hold a profound significance in our lives, capturing moments frozen in time that encapsulate emotions, relationships, and memories. As a portrait photographer specializing in storytelling legacy portraits, my work goes beyond the mere act of taking pictures; I’m creating a visual time capsule that will resonate across generations.

The impact of your portraits is multifaceted. For the subjects (you) of my photographs, these images become cherished keepsakes that reflect their personalities, connections, and the phases of their lives. Each portrait becomes a mirror into the past, evoking nostalgia and preserving the essence of the present moment.

My expertise lies in weaving narratives through your photography. By skillfully integrating elements of the subjects' lives, their stories are told through every pose, expression, and backdrop. This approach transforms your portraits into more than just images – they become windows into the lives, experiences, and emotions of those captured.

My images affect lives and it is my mission that everyone leaves feeling transformed. Clients leave the studio with a newfound confidence, holding their heads a little higher, feeling empowered through the simple self-love act of doing something for themselves. This translates back into their home life, their work life, and perhaps even their love life. This can lead to new jobs, new love, and new opportunities, and therefore it is LIFE CHANGING!

But the impact doesn't end there. Your work influences the broader context of family histories and cultural legacies. These legacy portraits, carefully composed and crafted, hold the power to connect future generations to their roots. They convey a sense of continuity, allowing descendants to understand their heritage, learn from their ancestors' experiences, and appreciate the journey that led to their own existence.

In essence, the impact of portrait photography is timeless. I’m not just capturing faces and pushing a few buttons; I’m encapsulating the essence of humanity itself. My ability to tell stories through images serves as a bridge between the past, the present, and the future. Your legacy portraits are more than photographs; they hold emotion, connection, and the essence of life itself, ensuring that the stories of today live on for generations to come. And THAT is the impact of portraits.
