The In-Between Session

First time parents usually ask when the best time is for a newborn photo shoot. The answer to that is “within the first 10 to 14 days”. Babies of this age still sleep a lot and it’s easier to pose them in those cute curled up baby positions.

But what if you missed this time slot?

Babies of any age are welcome

So you missed the first 10 to 14 days time slot. Now what? All babies of any age are always welcome at the studio. We’re adaptable and will adjust to you and your baby needs. There’s never a bad time to take photos of your baby.

The older infant

An older baby may open their eyes more and be more alert. They are more aware, and curious, and respond to the sounds and sights around them.

We may not get those typical sleepy newborn photos, but I absolutely love it when they make eye contact or start to smile a bit at around 8 weeks.

The older they get, the more their personality develops, and they start to get more ‘human’. This is magical in itself, and you don’t want to miss capturing these moments either. Please don’t wait for the “perfect stage”, just celebrate the now, because they grow up way too fast!
